Quinney Color Run:

i-Ready Diagnostic

The Spring iReady window is open for administering the third round of the iReady Diagnostic with students.  This window goes through May 20th.  As we learned earlier in the year, there is always the potential for absences or conflicts, so it is best to start sooner than later which will allow you plenty of time for students to finish up during independent work time if necessary.  Please don't wait until the last week of the window to start.  Thank you!

Since this is the third window of iReady Diagnostic, there may not be as much need for introduction to new things, however reminders and reteaching are certainly beneficial in setting them up for success.  And as always, motivating students to put forth their best effort.

Other ideas, click each to see more info...

Please let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like to arrange for me to be in your classroom during this second go at the diagnostic.  Always keep an eye on email for updates and tips.

Reminder New Accident Reporting Procedures

Effective May 1, 2022, the District will be moving to a more automated process for reporting accidents or injuries in the workplace.  The current paper-based reporting system will be turned over to EMC Insurance via their “OnCall Nurse Program”.  To complete this process the employee that has been injured must report to the nursing area in the building in which the incident took place.  A phone call will be made to connect the employee with an EMC OnCall nurse.  The employee will then go through a brief screening with the EMC nurse to complete the processing of the incident report.

It is imperative that an accident or injury is reported within the scheduled work hours on the day that it took place.  While reporting to the building’s nursing area may not be possible immediately, the District is stressing the importance of making sure there is something on file with EMC Insurance on the day of the incident.

Thank You!

Parent Teacher Conference Survey

Please take a moment to fill out the District Parent Teacher Conference Survey for future planning. Thank you!

Administering and Evaluating TLA's with Care

Here is a very helpful presentation to help with administering and evaluating.
ELL students (including those whose parents refuse services, but excluding those who exited earlier this year or are being monitored) will get $25 to spend on Scholastic Books from Title III funds.  this document is on your Google Classroom. It gives them the link to Scholastic Books and directions on how to shop. If you don't use Google Classroom, please print the paper and have the student write in their book choices (AND NAME). This needs to be turned into Caryn by Monday, May 9.
Please let Caryn or Tara know if you have any questions!

May Meaningful Calendar
