Report Cards

We will send an email to all elementary families that Report Cards are ready for viewing on Tuesday, February 1st. Here is the needed info for reports… 

• Report cards will not be printed and will not be sent home. Families can view/print them from the Parent Portal. 
• No i-Ready testing printouts will go home as we will not be finished with the district testing window. We will send home separately or give them out at conferences.  
• A reminder there is NOT a CWCS (Course Work Completion System) score in Campus any longer. You will see a WISE course but nothing needs to be done with that.  
• Reminder about NA...
• There is not the choice of "NA" on the report card rubric this year. We had used that for standards that are not yet assessed at this point in the school year. Instead of "NA" you should leave those standards/areas blank/empty. The standards that this is done with should not vary by teacher, but should be consistent across the grade level.  

Valentines and Birthday Treats

Beginning second semester (Tuesday, Jan. 25th), we will be returning to allowing students to bring individual-packaged, store bought birthday treats to school and with Valentine's Day coming up quickly, students will also be able to bring Valentines to share with their classmates.

On Friday, January 14th, Electa Quinney Elementary School reached the benchmark of 5% positive active student COVID-19 cases.  This benchmark was put in place to have a school require masking for students, staff, and visitors. Effective Monday, January 17th, Electa Quinney Elementary School students, staff, and visitors will be required to wear face coverings through the end of the day on Friday, January 21st. We will return to face coverings being optional on Tuesday, January 25th.

The Winter iReady Diagnostic Window continues through January 28th.  As you know there are always potential conflicts with individual or class quarantines, so it would be best to start the beginning of this week, if you haven't yet, which will allow you plenty of time for students to finish up during independent work time if necessary.  Please don't wait until the last week to start.  Thank you!

Since this is the second window and the second year of iReady, there may not be as much need for introduction to new things, however reminders and reteaching are certainly beneficial in setting them up for success.  And as always, motivating students to put forth their best effort.
