    Staff Celebrations

We wish Karen Ritzke well as she has hip surgery before Thanksgiving.  We will be thinking of you Karen!

We will welcome Becky Hurst as Karen's long term guest teacher Nov. 29 through Dec. 22.  Thank you for making Becky feel at home at EQ!

    Holidays!

Thanks so much for being respectful of all students and their families when you planned for fall/Halloween, and even more now with Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner.  It’s obvious that students enjoy these times of the year, as well as, the exposure to the diversity that our world brings. We can celebrate as a community of learners without elevating some family and community traditions while discounting others.  Celebrate learning and knowledge, celebrate the science, culture, and wonders of winter!

Sending warm thoughts and wishes to each of you and your families this in the coming weeks and always.  I hope the days off of school give you time to take care of your self and do something that makes you happy.  You are each a important person in the Quinney CREW!!!
The past year+ has given us many opportunities to remind us to not to take for granted all the blessings not matter how ordinary or small.

    Wishing You Well -- Stacy

    Inspiration of the Week EQ

Your strengths are important to those around you.

Think about a group that you belong to. Maybe it's your team, a neighborhood, an organization, your family. Picture that group in your mind.

What is that group known for doing well? Sort through those ideas and pick one word to describe what is great about that group. Focus on that word — see it in your mind.

Now, think about how your group does that so well. What is one "always" that people in the group agree on?

Finally, think of the role that you play within that group, and answer these questions:

As part of this group, what do I enjoy doing?

What do other people in the group usually look to me for?

In this group, what do I always do?

Your talents are consistent. They are the recurring patterns of how we make sense of the world. Notice how you're contributing not just to yourself but to the whole.
