Please help me in extending a BIG THANK YOU and good luck wishes to Missy Jersett! Missy retires this week after working in KASD for over 20 years! Electa Quinney has been her home for the majority of those years and we are extremely grateful for all of her time, hard work, and difference made in the lives of our students and our school!  Missy -- We wish you well and can't wait to hear about the adventures in the next step in your journey and time with Myron!  Please stop in and share pictures and stories with us!

    Family Event on Thursday!
Our Fall Family Event is this week on Thursday from 5:00-6:30. Classroom teachers please add this reminder to any communications you are sending home. All staff -- you can sign-up to volunteer to be there to help for the event on the staff volunteer sign-up page. Signing up here and being at the event is valid proof for C-Comp points. Teachers, specialists, EAs, support staff and more are all welcome to volunteer if you are able. Below is the information families received about the event. This is a free evening event being held on Thursday, October 14th complete with the opportunity to tour the building at your own pace, meet other families, enjoy some physical activity in the gymnasium, stop in the cafetorium for a snack, coloring, picture slideshow and more. This event is in an Open House format where families do not need to be present the entire time. Families that desire to participate can come and leave anytime during their selected "sign-up" time. Select staff will be volunteering during this event. Classroom doors will be open for you to "take a peek" however not fully open to enter the classroom, we look forward to sharing the "inside the classroom experiences" during our November Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences. We are holding two time slots (5:00-5:40; 5:50-6:300 for families to choose from to help with the number of individuals in the building at one time. Please review the available slots in the Sign-up by clicking here and click on the button on the site to sign up. We look forward to seeing you there! Thank you!

Talk with your kids to build healthy and safe habits for a lifetime: Small talks are short, casual conversations that help you connect with your child on the important stuff, like underage drinking. Having lots of small talks over time helps build trust and set expectations as kids change and grow.
    Visit https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/small-talks/index.htm for more resources.

    The Energized Guyz (virtual)

This week you will see this card in your mailbox. The National Theatre for Children presentation we normally have in person has a Online On-Demand version. I have signed the school up for that so anytime during the week of Oct. 18th you will be able to go online and view the show with your class.
